Haiti has lost control of his 60 years of public archives

The last 60 years of public archives in Haiti damaged or lost in large part because of the January 2010 earthquake that devastated the country, warned Wednesday the director of the National Archives.

After the earthquake, "there was no inventory, we can not know what we lost, but I can say that there has been huge losses," noted Jean Wilfrid Bertrand, on the occasion of the International Week of French archives hosted by Haiti until December 13.
