The Canadian Red Cross rebuilds Saint-Michel Hospital in Jacmel

The Canadian Red Cross has laid the foundation stone of the Saint-Michel Hospital in Jacmel, Haiti, nearly four years after the devastating January 2010 earthquake.

Work began a year later than expected, but Dr. Dickens St-Vil, chief of the division of pediatric surgery at the CHU Sainte-Justine, now in Jacmel, said delay by logistical challenges.

Is that before starting the reconstruction of the hospital, heavily damaged during the earthquake, it was still necessary to form labor, see the management of the hospital still in operation, and prepare work without interrupting medical services.
