MIAMI — A Haitian-operated airline has abruptly suspended flights between Miami and Haiti's capital.
The suspension of flights Thursday stranded Haiti Aviation passengers in Miami and Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
The Miami Herald reports (http://hrld.us/1l3RK9S ) that the company leasing a 150-seat aircraft and six crew members to Haiti Aviation for thrice-weekly flights informed the airline Wednesday that it no longer would provide the plane and crew amid a financial dispute.
Haiti Aviation founder Charles Voigt says his airline has had trouble getting reimbursed by credit card companies. He says he regrets failing to notify passengers sooner about the suspension of flights.
