Montreal mayor Denis Coderre will visit Haiti in February

Exactly four years after the deadly earthquake in Haiti, the mayor of Montreal Denis Coderre announced it will fly to Port-au-Prince as part of his first mission abroad.

At the Accueil Bonneau Sunday for the traditional "dinner of kings", Denis Coderre said he chose the Haitian capital as the destination for his first political trip as mayor.

Mr. Coderre was keen to stress the fourth anniversary of the earthquake that killed more than 220,000 dead and 300,000 wounded. He will leave Haiti in February.
