Dominican leader, Human Rights meet on Haitians’ offspring complaints

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina received the Inter-American Human Rights Commission delegation in the National Palace Thursday afternoon, after it is to receive complaints of alleged violations of the human rights of Haitians’ offspring across the country, as a result of the Constitutional Court ruling handed down in August.

The delegation of 13 people met with Medina behind closed doors for over one hour, the National Palace Press Office said in a statement. “The meeting with the Commission headed by its president José Orozco was to share the impressions with the head of State arising from exchanges held with people from different sectors of the country.”
