Detroit Lions safety Louis Delmas surprised by his ability to stay healthy this season

ALLEN PARK -- After two consecutive injury-plagued seasons, no one was sure how well Louis Delmas' knees would hold up this year.

The Detroit Lions made a low-risk investment, re-signing the safety to a two-year deal with minimal guaranteed money, and bonuses attached to playing time for the first season.
