Haiti's GDP grows 48% compared to 2012

Port-au-Prince.– Preliminary estimates of the Haitian Institute of Statistics and Informatics (IHSI) revealed Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Haiti increased in volume, by 4.3% [48%] in 2013 against 2.9% in 2012.

According to the IHSI's "Economic Accounts 2013" report, nearly all branches of economy contributed to GDP growth, including the agricultural sector with an increase in real terms of +4.6% of its value, against 1.3% in 2012; buildings and public works, +9%; catering and hospitality sector, +5%, among other sectors.
