Jean Pascal outclasses George Blades winning by 5th Round TKO
Former light heavyweight kingpin Jean Pascal dished out a thorough beating to veteran George Blades who, although outclassed, proved a tough nut to crack moments ago at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. Pascal came out strong at the bell and threw a whirlwind of leather at Blades who had little answer for the Canadian’s flashy offense. Pascal remained hard charging and really took it to Blades in the second where he ate a barrage of punishment. Pascal kept on punching and George took a prolonged beating before finally succumbing to a vicious combo in Round 5. The Laval charge landed a telling uppercut and right hand that decked his man and while Blades beat the count he was sent down twice more for good measure. With the violent win Pascal moves to 28-2-1 (17 KOs) and looks toward an early 2014 all-Canadian super-fight against fellow Montrealer Lucian Bute who was watching with interest from ringside.
