Wyclef Jean Welcomes Injured Haitians To U.S.
Rapper WYCLEF JEAN has welcomed injured victims of Haiti's devastating earthquake to the U.S., where they will receive critical medical care.
Margarette Pierre and Chantal Mori, both 17, lost their arms, while eight-year-old Farah Maurice lost a leg in the tragedy which struck the nation in January (10).
Haitian-born Jean was waiting for the youngsters at New York's Kennedy Airport on Saturday (01May10), giving them a warm welcome by handing them flowers as they entered the terminal.
He tells the New York Daily News, "It's good to see them so happy after all they've been through."
The children are set to fly to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Tuesday (04May10), when doctors are scheduled to outfit them with prostheses.
