Video: Sarodj Bertin crowned Miss Haiti Universe 2010



Sarodj Bertin crowned winner of Miss Haiti Universe 2010 but there is talk of this pageant being rigged.

Sarodj Bertin, a 24 year old law student, studying in Dominican Republic, was crowned the new Miss Haiti Universe on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Miss Haiti beauty contest in Port-au-Prince, Haiti officials said. She will represent Haiti this summer at the prestigious Miss Universe Pageant to be held next August in the United States of America and at the Miss World 2010 beauty pageant.

In an interview with Yahoo.fr, Sarodj says "This is the best time to climb the world behind the suffering and poverty, we also have nice things like beauty".

Sarodj currently lives in the Dominican Republic, stands 5'11'' and represented Haiti in Miss Intercontinental 2005. Sarodj Bertin beat out 18 other candidates vying for the Miss Haiti 2010 title.

Haiti has not participated in the Miss Universe competition since 1989, or 21 years and the Miss World for 36 years.
