Video: Tear gas doesn't deter Haitian marchers calling for Martelly resignation - RT Ruptly

Thousands of people marched through Port-au-Prince Friday, demanding the resignation of Haitian President Michel Martelly over alleged corruption and the cancellation of legislative elections. Police attempted to disperse the marchers with tear gas.

The marchers set off from slum areas in the suburb of Petionville to the Champ de Mars plaza near the coast. The plaza contains a statue of Haitian national hero Jean Jaques Dessaline, where the government had called a ceremony on the 208th anniversary of his death.
