Video: Prajje 1983 'L'Aigle Noir' FW 2014 Collection

"L'Aigle Noir" Autumne - Hiver 2014 Prajje 1983's first foray into autumn wear required a different rationale including the designer's exploration in love and anger. Edgy, dark, and romantic with an avian twist.

The Haitian born, Boston raised designer Prajje Jean-Baptiste draws creativity from Caribbean and ethnic aesthetics. Prajje's fall collection veers from his previous brightly colored spring collections with ebony, crimson leather, for a more sophisticated edgy look. The Couturier embraces his understanding of the female form and comprises his garments with exquisite detailing, cut-outs and leather appliqués paired with chiffon that amplifies the "downtown cool with uptown flair" feminine silhouettes. The Prajje 1983 fall collection will take consumers through everyday beautiful styles from chic work dresses, jumpsuits, evening gowns and cocktail dresses.

"This collection is very personal to me," explains Prajje. "I lost someone so dear to me last year and became angry for the loss and love for his life and my time with him and I started to design this collection."

In loving memory of Rolly S. Jean Baptiste 1948-2013
