First debut film by Haitian film director Jephté Bastien 'Haiti Through My Eyes' screened at many film festivals including Reelworld, Toronto and the American Black Film Festival, and won the prize for best film on the African Diaspora at the 14th Diaspora Film Festival, in New York. The film also earned a special mention from the jury of the Festival Vues d’Afrique, Montreal.
