Yes, the UFC has finally decided on a name for these cards. Instead of the silly numbering system with 1's and 2's and 3's, they're just going to call each event on Fox Sports "UFC Fight Night". This is what they called their events when they were on Spike before. It's unclear if they'll start up where they left off before (ie. this would be UFC Fight Night 26), or whether they're ditching numbers altogether. We'll have to see.
Anyway, the first card on Fox Sports takes place on August 17th, and it's awesome. The six-fight main card is amazing for a free show, and the prelims are pretty nice too. The entire main card and four of the preliminary card fights will air on Fox Sports 1 in a huge five-hour broadcast. A few fights will also be streamed on Facebook. The main event will see former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua take on Chael Sonnen. The co-main is a heavyweight scrap between former K-1 and Strikeforce champ Alistair Overeem and Travis Browne. Other notable fighters on the main card include Urijah Faber, Uriah Hall, and Joe Lauzon.
