Haiti WNT defeated by Reign FC in NWSL friendly

Reign FC had the weekend off in NWSL action but beat the Haitian women’s national team, 6-0, in an exhibition Sunday.

Forward Lindsay Taylor was the star with a hat trick, scoring in the first three goals in the 54th, 64th and 71st minutes. The first came on a penalty kick earned by Kennya Cordner. The second two came on free kicks.

Cordner made it 4-0 in the 75th minute, finishing a pass from midfielder Lyndsey Patterson. The Reign piled on with an 84th-minute goal by Liz Bogus in the aftermath of a PK save. Forward Kristina Larsen capped the scored in the 89th minute.

The game looked to be pretty physical, as Haiti went down to 10 players in the 69th minute, when defender Frantzcia Francios got a second yellow card, and then nine in the 86th minute on straight red to Manoucheka Pierre-Louis.

Seattle next hosts FC Kansas City on June 9 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at ReignFC.com. U.S. international Hope Solo and Canadian nationals Kaylyn Kyle, Emily Zurrer and Tiffany Cameron are expected to be back with the team and available.
