VIDEO: 'Hit for Haiti' Tennis Charity Fundraiser // Australian Open 2010



6 of the World’s best tennis players have grouped themselves in a charity game for the quake-stricken country of Haiti on Sunday at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia.

The players who took part in the Hit for Haiti fundraiser game include Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, Kim Clijsters, Lleyton Hewitt , and Sam Stosur who were grouped into 2 teams red and blue.

The Red Team composed of Federer, Hewitt, Williams and Stosur defeated the Blue Team of Nadal, Roddick, Djokovic and Clijsters in a close game, 7-6.

The audience also showed their support for victims of the Haiti earthquake by buying a $10 donation ticket.

“It’s fantastic to see the tennis family from around the globe band together to help make a difference in this time of need” said Tournament Director Craig Tiley.

“I would like to thank the players, staff and everyone involved in pulling off this event in such a short amount of time.”
