Sony Michel, a Haitian high school football athlete and American Heritage-Plantation running back, (#1) rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Lake Wales to help lead the Patriots to the Florida Class 5A state championship game.

Sony Michel goal for his senior year was to win a state title. He moved one step closer after a 48-16 win for American Heritage-Plantation over Lake Wales on Friday night in the Class 5A state semifinals.
