At first, it feels like a lost transmission from the late '70s or early '80s, the opaque and grainy warmth of its images both hypnotic and alienating. "The Eric André Show," which started its second season on Adult Swim last week, is a cognitive rift on the TV screen, a conceptual manslaughter of the clichéd rituals of late-night talk shows and their soothing intimacy. The cordial musical number is replaced with an outburst of free jazz on whose notes Eric André, the boisterous host and creator of the series, barges in ripping the set apart, literally.

Adult Swim has a lot of strange shows, but none more unpredictable and anarchic than The Eric Andre Show. Created and hosted by comedian Eric Andre, it's a big, fun mess of a talk show that involves Andre and co-host Hannibal Buress tormenting their guests and bringing out weird stuff just to baffle them, with Andre's daring hidden camera segments mixed in. There's nothing quite like The Eric Andre Show anywhere else on TV, and it's a perfect example of a comedian getting to express his weird, weird voice without any creative interference from the network.

'THE INTERNSHIP' stars Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn as salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital world. Trying to prove they are not obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google, along with a battalion of brilliant college students. But, gaining entrance to this utopia is only half the battle. Now they must compete with a group of the nation's most elite, tech-savvy geniuses, to prove that necessity really is the mother of re-invention.
