Video: Prajje 1983 'Antillaise' Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

Prajje 1983’s Spring-Summer 2015 “Antillaise” Collection is Vibrant, Luminous and Optimistic. It is dedicated to the woman who lives each day to the fullest, exploring new and exciting destinations. The cool pastel shades of white rose, yellow and gold were inspired by the Island of St Maarten. The natural wonder of this island induces a sense of calm and freshness, which is reflected in the materials associated with the 2015 collection: silk, cotton, lace and chiffon set the tone for this refined and elegant collection.

The Haitian born, Boston raised designer Prajje Jean-Baptiste draws creativity from Caribbean and ethnic aesthetics. Prajje's fall collection veers from his previous brightly colored spring collections with ebony, crimson leather, for a more sophisticated edgy look. The Couturier embraces his understanding of the female form and comprises his garments with exquisite detailing, cut-outs and leather appliqués paired with chiffon that amplifies the "downtown cool with uptown flair" feminine silhouettes. The Prajje 1983 fall collection will take consumers through everyday beautiful styles from chic work dresses, jumpsuits, evening gowns and cocktail dresses.

"This collection is very personal to me," explains Prajje. "I lost someone so dear to me last year and became angry for the loss and love for his life and my time with him and I started to design this collection."

In loving memory of Rolly S. Jean Baptiste 1948-2013
