Lindenwood football cornerback Pierre Desir became a three-time All-American on Tuesday. Desir was named to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) NCAA Division II All-American team.
Desir was named an AFCA All-American for the second straight season. He is the second Lindenwood player to win back-to-back AFCA All-American honors, joining offensive lineman Jeff Hynes who won the award in 2008 and 2009. Desir was also named an All-American as a freshman while playing at Washburn. He earned second-team honors that year from the Football Gazette and from d2football.com.
