Video: Police attack anti-government protesters in Haiti - Press TV

To Haiti now, where an anti-government protest has turned violent, with police firing tear gas and gun shots at demonstrators who threw stones.

The march began in the capital Port-au-Prince, when thousands of people took to the streets to call for the resignation of President Michel Martelly. The protest started off peacefully, but later on the demonstrators were attacked by police and the people who were throwing rocks from rooftops. Similar protests have erupted in Haiti in recent weeks. Demonstrators are asking why the government does not improve their living conditions in the impoverished nation.
