Tennis - The race for the USTA wild card for the French Open is still wide open on the women's side as current points leader Shelby Rogers lost in the second round of the ITF $50K event in Harbour Beach, USA. Rogers was beaten by Belinda Bencic, the young Swiss qualifier, in three sets.
Also advancing to the quarter finals of the rain affected tournament were Americans Alison Riske and Madison Brengle.
Fourth seed Michelle Larcher de Brito and fifth seed Irina Falconi also lost on Thursday in the second round.
